MaxBS Detector

Privacy

Effective October 2, 2026

MaxBS Detector is designed to work with as little data collection as practical.

Challenge text

The challenge you type is analyzed in your browser. MaxBS Detector does not intentionally send that text to our server, save it in a database, or require an account.

Sharing tools

The downloadable result image and suggested LinkedIn post are generated locally in your browser. The result image uses derived workplace-friction information, while the suggested LinkedIn post may quote the workplace situation you entered so you can review and edit it before sharing. Nothing is posted to LinkedIn automatically; you choose whether to copy, upload, or publish anything.

ChatGPT handoff

If you select “Solve this with ChatGPT,” the site creates a prompt locally and opens ChatGPT with that prompt included in the destination link. Clicking that button therefore sends the generated prompt, including your challenge text, to ChatGPT. MaxBS Detector does not send it before you click. OpenAI’s own terms and privacy practices apply once you use that handoff.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand whether the site is being used, MaxBS Detector records limited first-party usage events such as a visit, running a friction check, downloading a result, creating or opening a LinkedIn post, or opening the ChatGPT handoff. These records may include the event time, a random session identifier, referring hostname, and broad device type. Your challenge text is not included in these analytics events. We do not use a third-party analytics service for this feature.

Technical logs

Our hosting and security infrastructure may create ordinary web-server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time, and error or security information. These logs are used for operation and security; they are separate from the challenge text processed by the app.

Cookies and browser storage

The app does not use advertising cookies or browser local storage to save your challenge. A random analytics session identifier may be kept in session storage while your browser session is open so repeated page loads can be treated as the same visit. Essential hosting or security infrastructure may use technical mechanisms outside the app itself.

Sensitive information

Do not enter passwords, account numbers, private medical records, confidential employer material, or other information you would not want displayed on your screen or sent to ChatGPT if you choose the handoff.

Third-party services

External links take you to services we do not control. Review their privacy notices before providing information.

Changes

We may update this notice as the site changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
